Gilt Copper. 39 mm. 25.7 grams. An attractive medal by Caron Frères Montreal commemorating the 75th anniversary of the Societé Saint-Jean-Baptiste. The obverse shows a portrait of society founder Ludger Duvernay, while the reverse features the arms of the society and the Notre-Dame Basilica with ASSOCIATION ST-J.-BAPTISTE / SECTION NOTRE-DAME in a cartouche below. A wreath of maple is tied together at 6 o’clock, and a beaver and maple leaf appear at 12 o’clock. Well-executed with great eye appeal.
