White metal. 34 mm. 10.2 grams. The obverse features a port scene of Montreal with Mount Royal in the background and ships in the St. Lawrence River in the foreground. Signed C. TISON at 5 o’clock. The reverse was designed to be inscribed with the recipient’s place and date of birth, and marriage date. This example shows the final E in NÉE etched out with an engraved starlike ornament. Each side is silver-grey and fully struck. No ugly marks or rim bumps.
