This is part of a series of silver dollar-size medals and tokens struck in 1896 as part of the “free silver” campaign led by William Jennings Bryan. This So-Called dollar variety is one of the more accessible types in the subseries. The present example exhibits a few small rim bumps, most notably at 7 o’clock. Silver-grey surfaces are lightly hairlined but remain pleasing and well-detailed.
