1937 Canada 25 Cents MS65 NGC.

We love coins like this and think they are underappreciated in the market. The 1937 represents the first year of issue for Emanuel Hahn’s Caribou design. It was also the first year of coinage bearing George VI’s portrait on the obverse. A total of 2.6 million examples were struck, and many were saved in high grades, making this a perfect inaugural-year type coin.

This Gem, unlike so many we see, enjoys totally original blue and gold toning. Swirling mint luster shines through, illuminating the fully struck design elements. The fields are spectacularly clean. Obviously high-end for the grade and housed in an older-style NGC holder circa 1992-1995.
